Dancing Egyptian Spring is more than just a
contemporary dance festival; it is a project integrated into the city, a
sensible experimental project between several artists from various backgrounds
and the city of Alexandria.
Those artists were invited to select and take over
some locations in the city. This process is meant to throw the artists into a
sensible choreographic creation experience in a new environment that is indeed
unexpected and brings many surprises and coincidences. At the end of three
weeks residencies and cooperation between international and Egyptian artists
stand four very inspiring und different performances, to be seen in Alexandria
and Port Said.
Dancing Egyptian Spring is financed by the
European Union and the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture. The project brings
together four local organizations which are Goethe-Institute Alexandria,
Institut Français d’Égypte à Alexandrie, Centre Rezodanse Egypte and Agora for
Arts &
Culture in cooperation
with the Alliance Francaise Port Said.
Beside the performances, Dancing Egyptian
Spring brought contemporary dance in the schools of Alexandria. The visits to various
schools introduced the students to contemporary dance and assured building
future audience to similar actions.
During the period from 7 to 9 May, the project
will screen 4 films as part of the awareness campaign. The films "Rhythm
is it"!, "Until When?", "In
Search of Dance - Pina Bausch’s Other Theatre"
and "Generation
Yamakasi" were selected to showcase examples of
dance in education, dance as a profession, and dance as a way of life.
Performances
on 10 and 11 May will vary from concept and location. Mirette Michael, Richard Siegal and Ex-Nihilo will present to the audience a unique experimentation of the public
space. Egy Flow Parkour will be leading the audience from location to the
other. Ex-Nihilo will present a
performance on 13 May in Port Saïd in
cooperation with Alliance Française Port Saïd, The performance will take place in El
Tayed Street beside the lighthouse to explore a new public space and another
city.
General questions of arts in public space and of course an opportunity
for lively discussions with the artists are the main issues of a roundtable on
May 12 with the involved artists and cultural operators from other
institutions.
Dancing
Egyptian Spring will build a story for a week-end, for the audience to share
its reading and take a closer look into the city. They will have an insight in
the city's hidden secrets, and will discover a new way of experimentation.
مهرجان: رقصة الربيع المصري

13 مايو ببورسعيد
رقصة الربيع المصري أكثر من مهرجان للرقص المعاصر، بل هو مشروع داخل المدينة،
ومشروع تجريبي بين عدة فنانين من خلفيات مختلفة ومدينة الإسكندرية.
تم دعوة هؤلاء الفنانين
لاختيار والاستيلاء على بعض المواقع في المدينة. وتهدف هذه العملية إلى إلقاء
الفنانين في المساحات العامة لتصميم رقصات واكتساب خبرة جديدة في بيئة جديدة، بجميع ما سوف تأتي به هذه العملية من مفاجآت غير متوقعة وصُدف جميلة.
في نهاية إقامة فنية استمرت
لمدة ثلاثة أسابيع وتعاون بين فنانين مصريين ودوليين سيتم عرض أربعة عروض شيقة
ومختلفة بالإسكندرية وبورسعيد.
يتم تمويل هذا المشروع من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي والصندوق العربي للثقافة والفنون.
وهو مشروع يجمع بين أربعة كيانات محلية وهم معهد جوته بالإسكندرية، المعهد الفرنسي في الإسكندرية، مركز ريزودانس
مصر، وأجـــورا للثقافة والفنون، بالتعاون مع أليانس
فرانسيز بورسعيد.
إلى جانب العروض، ذهب المشروع بالرقص المعاصر إلى المدارس في الإسكندرية. بزيارة عدة مدارس، تم تعريف الطلاب بالرقص المعاصر والتأكيد على بناء جمهور مستقبلي لمثل هذه
الفعاليات.
وخلال الفترة من 7 إلى 9 مايو، سوف
يتم عرض أربعة أفلام كجزء من حملة التوعية. وقد تم اختيار الأفلام ("الإيقاع هو!"، "لحد
إمتى؟، "في البحث عن الرقص - مسرح بينا باوش الآخر" و "جيل الياماساكي" لعرض
أمثلة عن الرقص كأداه للتعليم، الرقص كمهنة، والرقص كوسيلة للحياة.
سوف تكون العروض خلال الفترة من 10 إلى 11 مايو في
مساحات عامة مختلفة بمواضيع متعددة . سوف يقدم كل من ميريت ميخائيل،
وريتشارد سيغال، وإيكس نيهيلوه تجربة فريدة
للجمهور السكندري من استكشاف المساحات العامة. سوف يقود
الباركور الجمهور من موقع إلى آخر. سوف يقدم إيكس
نيهيلوه عرض يوم 13 مايو ببورسعيد بالتعاون مع أليانس فرانسيز بورسعيد، سوف يكون
العرض بشارع الطايض بجوار الفنار لاستكشاف مساحة عامة جديدة ومدينة أخرى.
أسئلة عامة عن ممارسة الفن في
المساحات العامة وأيضًا فرصة للنقاش والتبادل من خلال حوار المائدة المستديرة يوم
السبت 12 مايو مع الفنانين المشاركين في المهرجان وممثلوا مؤسسات ثقافية أخرى.
يأتي لنا المهرجان بقصة في نهاية الإسبوع، ليشارك الجمهور في قراءتها ويلقي نظرة
فاحصة في أعماق المدينة. وكذا سيتطلعون على الأسرار
الخفية للمدينة وسيكتشفون طريقة جديدة للتجريب.
