It is our pleasure to announce the
inception of SAWA Project end of January 2015. SAWA is a series of crafts
workshops with women from communities in Sinai, Luxor and Aswan. Each workshop
will focus on developing contemporary designs inspired by traditional motives
for a specific craft that this region is characterized with.
Results of the workshops will be
displayed in two exhibitions (Alexandria and Cairo) to market for handcrafts as
a competitive advantage of each region and a tool for cultural tourism. This is
also an attempt to promote for a smart growth of the creative sector. The
Exhibitions will be back-to-back with BAB ELSHAMS Festival in April 2015.

يشرفنا أن نعلن عن بدأ مشروع سَوَا نهاية شهر يناير 2015. سوا هو عبارة عن سلسلة من الورش
الحرفية مع نساء من مجتمعات
في سيناء والأقصر وأسوان. وسوف تركز كل ورشة عمل حول
تطوير تصميمات معاصرة مستوحاه من
الأشمال التقليدية لحرفة معينة تتميز
بها تلك المناطق.
وسيتم عرض نتائج ورش
العمل في معرضين (الإسكندرية
والقاهرة) لتسويق الصناعات اليدوية كميزة
تنافسية لكل منطقة وأداة للسياحة الثقافية. وهذه تعتبر
أيضًا محاولة لتعزيز النمو الذكي لقطاع الصناعات الإبداعية.

مع مهرجان باب الشمس في ابريل 2015.
