معرض للحرف الفنية اليدوية التقليدية في سياق مهرجان باب البحر في الفترة من 20 إلى 26 سبتمبر .

يتم قبول طلبات المشاركة من الحرفيين الذين يقدمون أعمال يدوية تقليدية أو مستوحاه من الفن التقليدي، سواء كان ذلك اعادة صياغة للحرف التراثية أو تصميمات مستحدثة أو غيرها من طُرق اعادة احياء الفن التقليدي.

Exhibition of traditional handmade art in the context of BAB ELBAHR Festival taking place during the period from 20 to 26 September.

We are accepting applications from young artisans / artists who present a redefinition of traditional art or are inspired by traditional art, whether it's a recasting of the traditional symbols or designs or other innovative ways of reviving the traditional art.

AGORA in cooperation with AlQomrah are organizing an exhibition in context of Bab Elbahr Festival during the period from 20 to 26 September 2014 in Alexandria. Entries are to be accepted from young emerging and professional photographers.

• Photos should illustrate the theme of the festival
• Size: 40 X 30 cm
• To be sent in high resolution
• Photo caption to be sent in a separate word document
• Each participant should send maximum two entries
• A paragraph about the artist

BAB EL BAHR Festival - Launching

A new Festival series titled “BAB ELBAHR” meaning “Sea Gate” aiming at  strengthening cultural tourism and embedding culture in the daily life of people. The festival will feature discussions, debates, workshops and exhibitions in addition to a one day performance. The Festival will take place between 20-26 September 2014.

سلسلة جديدة من المهرجانات تحت عنوان "باب البحر" تهدف إلى دمج السياحة الثقافية والثقافة في الحياة اليومية. المهرجان سوف يقدم مناقشات، مناظرات، معارض، ورش عمل بالإضافة إلى عروض فنية. سوف يقام المهرجان في الفترة من 20 إلى 26 سبتمبر 2014.

There is a radical difference in the number of males versus females in leading positions, both in public and private business structures. This may reflect an underlying perception that women are not apt to lead and if put in leadership positions, they would be less competent and not as qualified as men.   Cleopatra of Egypt, the theme of the festival will bring the issue of "Women Leadership" into debate. Discussions will tackle parenting, equality, increase in marriage age, increase in divorce rate and female leadership positions in Egypt.

The festival will also use CELOPATRA as a female figure from history and open the debate about women rights and achievements in ancient times.

 هناك فرق جذري في عدد الذكور مقابل الإناث في المناصب القيادية، سواء في الهياكل التجارية العامة أو الخاصة. قد يعكس هذا افتراض أن المرأة ليست قادرة على القيادة إذا وضعت في المناصب القيادية، فإنها ستكون أقل كفاءة وغير مؤهلة مثل الرجال. كليوباترا، موضوع المهرجان، سوف يطرح قضية "قيادة المرأة". سوف يتم مناقشة عدة مواضيع منها تربية الأولاد، والمساواة، والارتفاع في سن الزواج، وزيادة في نسبة الطلاق والمناصب القيادية النسائية في مصر.

سوف يستخدم المهرجان كليوباترا كشخصية من التاريخ لفتح النقاش حول حقوق المرأة والإنجازات التي حققتها في العصور القديمة
